The LORD has done what he planned; he has fulfilled his word, which he decreed long ago. He has overthrown you without pity, he has let the enemy gloat over you, he has exalted the horn of your foes.
This is more proof in God’s Word that He has a plan, He will execute His plan, and He will fulfill His plan perfectly. His plan is to save His Elect, those who were chosen in Christ before the foundation of the Word (Ephesians 1:4). He even told us in Luke 19:10 that He came to seek and to save that which was lost. Again, since every man ever born (except for Christ) was/is lost, He obviously HAS saved and WILL save those He intended to save - unless you think Jesus failed or lied. There is no way the creature (man) can thwart the plan of God (Isaiah 14:27).
The Arminian will say that man has a free will. To that claim I respectfully ask them to show it to me in Scripture. I agree that throughout the Bible men are given a choice but the Arminian infers from those passages that man has the ability to make the right choice. He does not. Every imagination of his thoughts is only evil, continuously (Genesis 6:5). He can't please God (Romans 8:8) which is what would happen if he made the "right" choice.
Man does not have a free will. We are slaves to sin when we’re lost (Romans 6:17) and if we’re saved we are slaves to God (Romans 6:22). Spiritual slaves DO what their master requires. And it is certainly not Satan’s will to save a lost man. Since God is sovereign and not Satan, God overrules Satan not only when it comes to His Elect, but God overrules ALL.
Bottom Line: God has a plan and His plan WILL be executed and His plan WILL be fulfilled perfectly, despite the myth called man’s free will.
We become children of God NOT by human decision (John 1:13).
