Wow! When you read this Scripture in light of Ephesians 1:4 (We were chosen in Him before the foundation of the world) it sets in something stronger than concrete the idea that those chosen WILL be saved (John 6:37). Before the foundation of the World God acted, He made a decision and chose a bride for His Son. NO ONE can reverse it, change it, nullify it, add to it, or take away from it. HALLELUJAH!!!
If those who believe you can be “saved and lost again” understood they had nothing to do with getting saved to begin with, they’d laugh themselves silly over what they used to believe. This is one verse that could help them. The problem is, they really don’t believe in a sovereign God... but then again, neither do Arminians.
