29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.
30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
More than anything this shows God’s sovereignty in the lives of every human who ever lived. From God determining the times WHEN people lived to the places WHERE they would live (Acts 17:26) - which by implication means it was planned by God some would NEVER hear the Gospel. What am I talking about? I’m sure you’ll agree that there are people dying in the world today who have NEVER heard the Gospel because of where they live. Well, it must have been planned by God according to Acts 17:26. (Bible Truth #78)
The point is, if a sparrow can’t fall to the ground unless it’s the will of the Father, and if even the very hairs on our head are numbered, there is absolutely nothing that affects the lives of the Elect, those He chose in Him before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4), unless it is God’s Will. And that includes the number of times we believers heard the Gospel before HE decided it was enough and saved us. It wasn’t our decision, it was His. (John 1:13)
Bottom Line - if nothing can happen to a sparrow without it being God’s will, nothing can happen to ANY human without it being God’s will, and this includes salvation.
