Bible Truth #47 - Matthew 20:28

just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Jesus came and gave His life as a ransom for many (Strong’s G4183). Not all people, not the whole world, not every human who ever lived, but MANY. He gave his life as a ransom for MANY. If He gave His life as a ransom for each and every person then He failed because there are people in Hell for whom He paid the ransom. That’s not the Omnipotent God in whom I believe.

Nowhere in the Bible will you find salvation “offered” to humanity. He did not make salvation possible. He did not make it available for all mankind. He OBTAINED salvation for His Elect (Hebrews 9:12) and His Elect alone. He came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). He saved every one of those He intended to save - His Elect. That’s why He hath done ALL things well. (Mark 7:37).
