“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.
We know that the world hates us. The world, every Jew or Gentile who is lost, hates us because they hate Jesus. In John chapter 8 when confronting the Pharisees, who were all lost and who wanted to kill him, Jesus said in verse 42 that if God was their Father, they would love Him. He went on to say in verse 43 they can’t understand what He is saying because they can’t hear him (because they do NOT have ears to hear). And then verse 44 the ultimate reason - they belong to their father the devil! (See Bible Truth #23)
The bottom line is that the world hates Jesus which supports the Scripture in John 3:20 where Jesus said everyone who does evil (i.e. the lost) hates the Light and will NOT come into it. So - answer me this: If the world hates the Light, and hates Jesus, and hates us, and does not have ears to hear, all because they are the children of the devil... how can they change their nature and love Someone they hate? How can they believe?
THEY CAN’T AND THEY WON’T! They won’t come into the Light.
