For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.
Who did God call? Paul writes that God called US [not them] to live a holy life. Does God call everyone? No He does not. (1 Corinthians 1:26)
Yes, God COMMANDS everyone, everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30) but the command to all men to repent is NOT the “call” He gives to His Elect (Acts 2:39), the “call” to salvation (Romans 8:30), nor the “call” to live a holy life.
If a man is foreknown by God, he was also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son (Romans 8:29) and there has never been a man predestined in this manner who was not already chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4).
Bottom Line: God does not call everyone to salvation.
