Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you even at my mother’s breast.
I’ve shown example after example of God’s sovereignty in our thoughts and actions and here it is in the Old Testament. David was saying that God “made” him trust in God from his earliest days. He was chosen and God GAVE him the gift of belief. That is how God “made” him trust Him. God, by GIVING David belief (because David was chosen, not just to be king, but to be saved), David trusted God from his earliest days. Without God making David trust Him, he would never have done so. This easily reconciles with John 6:29 and Philippians 2:13 below.
John 6:29 - Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
Philippians 2:13 - for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
